A French 19th century altarpiece with intaglio. This antique French altarpiece features an urn and floral motif, with a single intaglio set into the central top bouquet. This altarpiece, with it's nicely decorated repoussé (a technique in which the metal is beaten or plated) body, is raised up on a wooden base. This piece has lovely patina throughout.
