An African Manilla trade currency from the Igbo people of Central Nigeria, West Africa. Manilla bracelets (a form of money) were commonly used throughout Nigeria and surrounding areas for centuries to purchase slaves, ivory, and other trade items. This pre colonial African copper alloy currency has been nicely displayed upon a custom iron stand (which is included). Please note we only have one of these available--featured on the left side in the photographs.
