A Spanish Raised-Panel Door, Early 19th C.
A Spanish single door with decoratively-carved raised panels from the early 19th century. This lovely antique door from Spain features a six raised panel front, comprised of two rows of rectangular panels with squared panels at top and bottom, and a fabulous worn patina . The squared panels each contain pyramidal raised carvings within their centers, and rectangular panels have medallion carvings at center. The paint remnants are either original or quite old, primarily in shades of black, green, and off white. The backside of the door is un-carved. This early 19th century Spanish door would look perfect as a decorative object hung on a wall, used as a custom cabinet or pantry door, or perhaps re-purposed into a beautiful coffee table raised on an iron base. Please consult with your contractor or architect to discuss the necessary measurements and hardware to make this piece work for your project.
