19th C. Rococo Mirrored Wall Étagère, Italy

An Italian Rococo style large-sized tiered carved and gilt wall shelf with mirror from the 19th century. This antique étagère (shelf) from Italy has been exquisitely carved in a rocaille and floral motif, with gilt finish and mirrored back. Fourteen small demi-lune shelves are tiered with symmetry throughout this piece, which has a lovely trefoil shape. The finish has a wonderful old patina, with some areas of chips and gilt losses, reflective of it's age and history of use. This 19th century Italian Rococo style étagère will make an impressive wall decoration and display for a small art, standing at over 3.5 feet in height, and over 7 feet in width.
