French Neoclassical Mirror, Early 19th C.

A French Neoclassical mirror, with its original finish, from the early 19th century. This antique mirror from France has a mostly rectangular-shape, with step up style top crest. The carved-wood plaque top, reminiscent of trumeau design, is carved with an urn raised upon a fluted pedestal with foliage cascading down each side. The glass mirror set into lower portion of frame has small beaded trim adorning it's most inner surround. This piece retains it's original gilt finish and green color. This early 19th century Italian Neoclassical mirror would look quite lovely adorning a bedroom, powder room, or entry hall wall.
