An Artisan-made mirror with petite silver églomisé sunburst within a vintage wood frame. This rectangular-shaped mirror has been created with a vintage wood frame (have a nicely carved inner surround and fluted trimming along the main frame), which is now fitted with a newer, artisan created center glass (which has an antiqued finish and minimally adorned with a single silver églomisé star or sunburst positioned within the top center). The French term églomisé, dates back to pre-Roman eras, and is the technique by which a design and gilding is applied to the rear side of the glass, with artistic detail being visible from the front. The carved wood frames have a silver color which shows a golden/bronze throughout in various areas. This custom fashioned mirror, adorned with a petite églomisé sunburst, stands just over 5 feet in height. Please note that the one in this photo has sold, but we do have another available.
