Italian Neoclassic Style Gilt Wood Mirror

An Italian style mirror with it's original gilt finish from the mid 20th century. This American vintage mirror was designed in Italian style with Neoclassical influences. The raised crest is adorn with a pierce-carved bow-tied ribbon atop a floral medallion on pedestal at center, which is flanked within draping garlands and leaf accents atop each shoulder. The surround is clean and straight along the outer edges, with inner surround having a petite beaded trim against the glass. The frame retains its original finish in gold/bronze with hints of burnished red. This Neoclassical mirror, with its elaborate ribbon crest, has great 24" x 48" proportions.
