18th C. French Arched Mirror, Faux-Marbled
A French carved and faux-marble painted wood mirror from the 18th century. This antique mirror from France has a molded surround with convexly arched top, with straight lines making up the sides and bottom. The wooden frame features one-of-a-kind, artisan hand-painted faux marbled finish in black with gray, cream, and gold veining. The mirror is not original and has been replaced at some point. There is a newer iron bar strapped along the backside of the mirror which strengthens and adds support to this piece. This 18th century French mirror, with arched crest and faux-marble finish, stands approximately 5.5 feet in height.
