French Painted & Gilt Wood Mirror, 19th C.

A French painted wood mirror with carved gilt accents from the mid 19th century (possibly older). This antique mirror from France features a rectangular-wood frame with a thinner, inner carved-wood and gilt surround embellished with acanthus leaf accents at top center and curling from each corner. The wooden frame has a custom light blue/gray finish. The gold/gilt inner surround is original to this piece. This French mirror from the mid 19th century stands approximately 5.25 feet in height.
