An English faux-bamboo carved and painted wood bookshelf from the 19th century. This antique open display shelving unit from England stands approximately 5.5 feet in height, and has been created with six levels of open shelving supported within six vertical faux-bamboo style posts, with egg shaped top finials and presented on egg shaped feet at the underside of the lowest shelf. The finish is either original, or quite early to the piece. We recommend the shelf being attached to a wall at backside for further support and safety. This 19th century English faux bamboo six level shelving unit could function as a bookshelf or display for collectibles within an office or family room, or perhaps as an additional display and storage open for a kitchen or pantry.
