Italian Leather Arm Chairs, Early 18th C
An Italian pair of leather and carved wood high-back arm chairs from the early 18th century. This pair of antique chairs, crafted in Italy, each feature convex-arched high backs, carved wood arms with fluid shapes that terminate into down scrolled knuckles, and presented upon four nicely carved legs, braced with a carved wooden cross-stretcher with a gently curled arch as finial at center. The old leather on seat and back is beautifully worn and cracked from age, embellished with fringed fabric and large decorative nail head trim. Please note that due to the condition and age of these chairs, they would be best used as occasional or limited seating, not recommended for daily use. Place these fabulous 18th century Italian arm chairs in your study or library whereas these "art pieces" can be admired, while pondering their history through the centuries.Dimensions
