A Swedish carved-wood single arm chair with fabulous old woven fabric upholstery from the mid 18th century. This antique chair from Sweden, though period Rococo, is more subdued in it's carvings, more likely from the country than city. It is quite a charming piece with it's carved back-splat, scrolled knuckles, turned stretchers and carved-paw feet. But just as lovely is the fabric on the seat, which we would not recommend removing, as it is a beautiful example of Swedish hand-woven textile "allmoge" (folk art). This 1750's simple Rococo and allmoge upholstered armchair will make a splendid addition to your home, perhaps in a bedroom, study, or finding it's place next to your living room hearth.
