French Antique Pair Upholstered Fauteuils

A French pair of carved-wood and upholstered armchairs from the early 20th century. This antique pair of fauteuils from France each feature gently arched top rails carved in a delicate floral motif, arms with padded manchettes and curled knuckles, and beautifully carved flowers adorning the knees. The scalloped skirt continues the sweet floral carved motif at it's center. The chairs are presently upon for cabriole style legs. The generous seat and relaxed back have been newly upholstered in a neutral cotton duck, which pairs nicely with the creamy wood with lovely patina. This pair of early 20th century French fauteuils (armchairs) will make a comfortable and fashionable small seating arrangement, perhaps in a living room or bedroom.
