A pair of French style winged-back carved-wood and upholstered armchairs from the mid 20th century. This vintage pair of bergère chairs from America have been created in the beautiful styling inspired by the French with each featuring winged-backs with elegantly carved back top-rails, flanked within prominent shoulders that flow gently down onto the arms which terminate into volute carved knuckles. The skirt is carved in gentle swags about all sides, and the chairs are presented upon cabriole legs. Backs, arms, and seats (including removable seat cushions) are currently upholstered in an older silk and leather, but is ready for a refresher. These French style winged armchairs, with their generous sized seats, will make a comfy and sophisticated intimate seating arrangement for your home or office.
