Italian Pair "Running-Knot" Splat Armchairs

An Italian pair of carved-wood armchairs with upholstered seats. These vintage accent chairs from Italy each feature squared backs with a straight frame and upper crest rail with a running-knot design carved pierced back-splat at center. The wood arms are graceful with subtle swags along the arm rest and again down the front post. The chairs are raised on four elegantly curved legs, with rear sabre legs. The seats are upholstered with pillow-top style seats; one in gold and the other in red. The fabric is in good/usable condition. Note that the seat height measurements are for the actual chair seat. Seat height including the cushion measures approximately 20"H. This vintage Italian pair of carved armchairs will be great for an intimate conversation group, or accent chairs within a larger setting.
