Antique French Louis XVI Style Armchairs

A French pair of Louis XVI style square-back armchairs from the early 20th century. These antique chairs from France each have square-shaped backs, with upholstered centers set within a a molded wood frame of linear lines and flat top rail. The carved wood arms have padded manchettes arm rests and terminate into volute-carved knuckles. The seat rail is carved in the same straight line molding as the chair back, with rosettes carved atop each of the corners/knees. The chairs are raised upon cylindrical fluted legs which taper gently towards their feet. The upholstered backs, seats, and arm pads are ready for a refresher; the perfect opportunity to make these chairs your own! The wood retains its original painted finish. This early 20th century French pair of armchairs will make a perfect seating arrangement, while adding a bit of Louis XVI style, within a living room, study, or bedroom.
