A French pair of painted iron patio conversation chairs. This vintage pair of iron chairs from France have nicely designed backs that are open with an intertwining lattice design with almond and arch shapes, that give these chairs a light and airy quality. The shoulders move fluidly down into concaved slopes for arms and round out at the front arm posts. Iron seats are slatted and could be used with or without the addition of a seat cushion. The chairs are each raised on four slender and sabered legs, braced with an H-shaped stretcher just above their feet. The painted metal finish has a wonderfully chipped finish, making for a great patina. These French chairs are quite stylish and are suited to work in both indoor or outdoor settings- they'd make a great intimate conversational option for a sun-room or covered porch.
