Pair of Curule Savonarola Chairs from Italy

A pair of Italian curule savonarola chairs from the mid 20th century. These antique curule chairs from Italy, also commonly referred to as savonarola chairs, are defined by their signature frames which connect where the upper frames meet and connect (at front and rear side) with the curvy bottom section (which makes up the legs). There is a center post that connects the front and rear legs along underside of the chair for added support. All four arms are topped with decorative brass finials. The frame has a nicely aged patina throughout. The seats, backs, and arm rests are all upholstered in black leather. This pair of handsome Italian savonarola chairs will be a stylish addition to your living room or study.
