French Iron Spit-Jack Chandelier
A French mid-century, eight-light forged-iron chandelier made from a 19th century spit-jack. A spit-jack is a type of rotisserie that was once common in fireplaces. This chandelier has eight arms, four along each outer side, which connect to the central spit-jack, and connects to an upper, horizontally positioned, forged-iron beam by four chains attached at each corner of the spit-jack. This forged-iron chandelier has a beautifully aged patina. This vintage French chandelier has been rewired for the US and comes with a complimentary 3-foot chain and canopy painted to match.
