Willy Guhl Hanging Dome Light, Mid-CenturyThis Item Is Closed
A nicely-sized, mid-century hanging dome light created by Swiss neo-functionalist designer Willy Guhl (1915-2004). This vintage chandelier, in typical Willy Guhl fashion, is constructed of eternite (a durable and light-weight fiber cement), and features an overall rounded, dome shape. Primarily white in color, with a lightly textured pattern, and patina from age which only adds to the character of this piece. The light fixture is suspended from the ceiling by a single chain (note that measurements of height are for the light only and do not include the chain). The downward facing facade is fitted with three light sockets within it's center, which have been rewired for the US. This nicely-sized Willy Guhl hanging light, from the mid 20th century, will make a fabulously modern addition within an entry foyer, living space, or hanging over a dining room table.
