French Iron & Glass Lantern, Early 20th C.

A French single-light lantern style hanging light fixture from the early 20th century. This antique chandelier from France features a lantern-style body adorn in a whimsical bow-tied ribbon, leaf, and flower motif. The iron armature is painted black, and glass panels are set within the side panels. There is a nicely sized single light, which hangs from the top center (though please note that it is old European wiring, so please plan on having this piece re-wired.) This antique French black iron lantern stands approximately 25" tall, and would make a lovely lighting fixture for an entry foyer, stairway landing, or perhaps in a kitchen over a sink or island.
