This antique chest from France features a stone, likely scagliola, top with rounded, coved-edging and accentuated both front corners, atop a case with canted side posts which houses three drawers adorn with neoclassical-style brass ring-pull handles flanking the bowed escutcheon at their centers. The chest is raised nicely on four square, tapered legs which terminate into brass feet.
