A German tall storage cabinet with nicely carved accents from the 19th century. This tall antique armoire cabinet from Germany features a molded and arched cornice, with carved ribbon trimming, atop a case which houses a pair of decoratively paneled and arched doors which open to reveal adjustable shelving and coat rod at top for plentiful storage within. The front side posts are canted and beautifully embellished with Corinthian style columns flanking each cabinet side, and is presented upon low profile bracket feet, giving this piece a slight rise from the ground. This wooden storage cabinet retains some of its original finish and patina found at the accent and trimmings, with the main finish being the original melon coloring with a light taupe wash atop and later touch-ups. Standing approximately 6.5 feet in height, and 4.5 feet wide, this 19th century German Kas cabinet offers abundant storage potential and could be used in various areas throughout your home. Note that the distance at the interior opening of the doors is 34" wide, should you wish to house a tv inside this piece.
