An Italian raised two-drawer side chest, with subtly bowed front, from the late 19th to early 20th century. This antique fruitwood chest from Italy features a decorative diamond shape motif inlay on it's top and drawer fronts, a subtle bow-shaped front side, with a case which houses two drawers, and raised nicely off of the ground on four cabriole style legs. The skirt is clean and straight, and bracket braces support each leg where it meets at the underside of the apron. This turn of the century Italian petite chest would work well as an end table, in an entry hall, or perhaps as a sweet place to store toiletries or hand-towels in a powder room.
