Italian Cabinet w/Paw Feet, Early 18th C.
An Italian walnut two-door cabinet from the early 18th century. This antique cabinet from Italy features a rectangular-shaped top, with handsome bracket-style carvings adorning it's underside, atop a case which houses a top drawer (which is hidden within the top trim) & pair of doors, and is raised upon paw carved feet which project outwardly at front. The recessed panel doors are fitted with round iron pulls at center and open to reveal a shelf and storage within. The skirt is comprised of stacked molding. The walnut wood is warm, with a lovely old patina and areas of wear, which we feel adds to the charm of this piece. Please note that the top has a really old, though not original finish, and that there have been prior repairs in it's history. This early 18th century Italian cabinet, with it's three feet in width, makes for a very good versatile size for using this piece in just about any room in your home.
