A French wood chest of three drawers, with beautiful veneers and inlay, from the 18th century. This antique commode from France was designed in nice clean lines, allowing the beautifully veneered wood grain and inlay banding to speak for its simple elegance. The rectangular-shaped top slightly overhangs the case which houses three graduated dovetailed-drawers, each adorned with a pair of pulls and an elaborate escutcheon at its center. This chest is presented nicely upon four tapering squared legs. Please note that the hardware for this piece may have been replaced at some point and that some veneers have been repaired/replaced. This 18th century French commode is a nicely-sized and handsome storage piece; a great addition for your bedroom or living room space.
