A Swedish gustavian bleached-wood chest of drawers, circa 1820-1840. This antique chest from Sweden, in typical Gustavian style, features a simple, clean design with a slightly overhanging lip about the top edge, with case below housing four graduated and dove-tailed drawers, each fitted with a pair of simple ring pulls and an escutcheon at their center, flanked with a pair of revival style side posts with carved figureheads. The chest is raised upon squared, tapered legs, with brass feet. The bleached finish is complimented with trim in a custom painted white wash with soft champagne color over the top. This 19th century Swedish chest of drawers has a clean, timeless design which would compliment both a traditional or modern setting.
