An Italian raised chest, with book-match veneers, circa 1960's. This mid-century chest from Italy features a rectangular-shaped, book-match veneer top, over a chase which houses a pair of stacked, graduated and dove-tailed drawers, and raised nicely off the ground on squared legs which taper towards their feet. The drawer fronts are adorn with book-match veneer and fitted with a pair of oval-shaped pulls and an escutcheon at center. This top has recently been polished, and there are some minor imperfections to the veneer edging as can be seen in the additional images, but nothing more than what we would consider character and charm; as typical from a vintage piece. This 1960's Italian raised two-drawer chest is a perfectly versatile piece for just about any room in your home.
