A French raised chest of drawers, with top gallery and brass trim. This vintage commode from France features a rectangular-shaped top with decorative brass gallery which lines its perimeter, over a case which houses three graduated and dove-tailed drawers, set within fluted side posts, and raised nicely upon round, flute-carved and tapering legs, with brass knee accents and terminating into brass feet. nicely The drawer fronts have recessed panels, each outlined in brass trim, and fitted with with rectangular brass pull handles flanking an escutcheon at their centers. This French commode, with top gallery and brass accents, will make a perfect side-chest for a sofa or bed side, or perhaps as a great case piece for a powder room- with top for displaying parfumes or other goodies.
