Grand Italian Antique Armadio w/Cedar Trunk

An Italian large-sized cabinet, with inner cedar trunk, from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique guardaroba (wardrobe) from Italy is impressively sized at approximately 8.25 feet in height and nearly 6 feet wide. The cabinet is fitted with a single raised-panel door, flanked within fluted columns; The dual columns give this piece a reverse-break front design, which carries up to the heavily molded cornice. Additional fluting adorns the upper cabinet, just beneath the overhang. Each side has the same single raised-panel design as the door. The cabinet opens to reveal abundant, open space on the interior, with the bottom raising to reveal a cedar lined trunk. There is a newer, custom color in hues of blue, green, and gray with green/blue accents. This turn of the century Italian wardrobe is a definite statement maker for a bedroom (or any room storage may be needed) with its bold presence and grand scale- just lovely!
