A Swedish smaller-sized carved and bleached wood chest from the 19th century. This antique side chest from Sweden features an overhanging, rectangular-shaped top with rounded front corners, which rests atop a case which houses three dove-tailed and graduated drawers, each fitted with a pair of simple knob pulls, and pronounced and rounded front and rear side posts with have a nice reed carved decorative texture. The front skirt has a delicate swag at center, and the chest is nicely raised upon rounded, tapering legs. There is a newer scraped/bleached custom finish. This early 19th century Swedish chest, with it's smaller size, allows for endless possibilities for use throughout your home.
