French Antique Cartouche Carved Commode

A French Louis XV style carved wood commode from the 19th century. This antique chest from France, designed with Louis XV influences, features a subtle serpentine-shaped body with emphasis on the drawer fronts which each feature a pair of shell carved cartouches which surround the ring pulls within. The skirt is sweetly carved about three sides, with four petitely-carved cabriole feet giving just a slight rise to this cabinet from the floor beneath. There is a new custom bleached finish with a light accent wash. This 19th century French commode, with its beautiful cartouche accents and petite cabriole feet, will be a wonderful case piece for your storage and display needs.
