Pair French High-Leg Burl Wood Side Chests

A French pair of raised three-drawer side chests from the mid 20th century. These antique commodes from France each feature a graceful serpentine shaped front and curvy sides, with rear being spread wider than frontside. The fruit wood is complimented beautifully with burl wood veneers adorning the top, sides, and drawer fronts. The case houses three drawers, each fitted with a pair of knob pulls. These chests have scallop carved skirts and are presented upon long, cabriole style legs. Note that there are some minor flaws and a small indentation on the top of one of the cabinets- please see additional images for further detail on condition. This pair of French serpentine side chests, with their elegant curves and high legs, will be lovely flanking a sofa or seating arrangement.
