A French carved and painted wood sideboard, with its original fossilized marble top, from the mid 20th century. This vintage console cabinet from France, just over 7 feet in length, has a very shallow break-front design and is fitted with four small drawers across the top (each fitted with a rectangular brass pull), over four recessed-panel doors, with fluted carvings accentuating the spaces between each door and down each rounded front side post. Recessed panels flank each far side. The cabinet is presented upon four conical front legs, with four additional squared legs at rear. The doors open to reveal an interior shelf, with continuous storage within. The white finish has hints of gray. The original fossilized marble is black with gray and white veining. This mid-century French sideboard cabinet is a handsome and versatile piece which would work well in many rooms throughout your home, perfect for your storage and display needs.
