An Italian period Neoclassical small-sized comodino embellished with stunning marquetry, from the 18th century. This antique cabinet from Italy has been elaborately-crafted marquetry inlays about its top and three sides in various designs of mythological creatures, leafy garlands, and highly depictive landscapes with farmers and shepherds lounging with their animals. The case houses a single drawer with single door beneath which opens to reveal a shelf for storage (and a small hole which has been previous drilled at lower backside should you wish to hide electronics within). This piece is presented upon four squared legs which gently taper to their feet. Please note that there is some slight bowing to the top. This 18th century Italian Neoclassical chest, with its skillfully-crafted marquetry embellishments, has petite proportions, making it a highly functional piece which could be used to enhance almost any room in your home!
