A French chest of three drawers, with fluted details and brass trim, from the mid 20th century. This beautiful fruit-wood commode from France, designed in Louis XVI style, features a slightly overhanging top with rounded, pronounced semi-circular front corners, atop a case which houses three graduated and full-sized drawers. Each drawer is adorn with brass metal trim outlining their rectangular shapes, and fitted with decorative brass pulls, all flanked within rounded and flute-carved front side posts. This chest is raised nicely upon conical carved wood legs, which taper gently towards their feet. The wood has a newer, custom bleached finish with taupe trim accents. This French Louis XVI style chest-of-drawers would work really well as a bedroom case piece, or perhaps in a foyer or living area with decorative items atop and storage within.
