An Italian raised side chest with drawers from the 19th century. This antique end table from Italy has been designed with very clean lines and minimalist feel. The rectangular-shaped case houses a pair of stacked drawers, has clean/liner skirting, and is nicely raised on slender, squared legs that gently taper to their brass feet. The drawer fronts are embellished with a stylish, decorative inlay about their border, with simple keyhole at center. Each side of the chest mimics the inlay design on the drawer fronts. This 19th century Italian raised chest is a versatile piece which could be used as a bedside nightstand, a storage piece within a powder room, or aside a seating arrangement as an end table.
