A Swedish Gustavian-style tall display and storage cabinet, with its original paint, from the 19th. This antique cabinet from Sweden, standing over 7 feet in height, has been designed with a clean/minimalist Gustavian style and features a tall upper display case fitted with a pair of glass paneled doors, which rest recessed atop a lower cabinet fitted with a pair of wooden doors. A petite drawer is also housed within the upper/left section of the lower case, and has a divider inside. The cabinet is raised on a pair of block-style feet at front and their is an arched cut-out between the front and rear legs along the side. This piece retains most of its original paint; which is primarily a blue/gray color palette with areas of lighter blue and wood showing- along with a wonderful old patina with areas of wear, chipping and crackling which we think adds to the charm and character! The top display measures approximately 52.5" in height, and bottom cabinet 36" tall. The hutch breaks down into two pieces, allowing for easier transport and installation. This 19th century Swedish Gustavian-style cabinet offers numerous display and storage options- it'd be perfect for a living-room or study bookcase, a dining room buffet with hutch, or as a nicely-sized kitchen cupboard.
