A French petite-sized chest with its original marble top from the 18th century. This antique commode from France retains its original marble top which rests atop the carved-wood case with rounded front side posts that flank three graduated drawers, a gently scalloped skirt, and is raised upon for cabriole legs. The drawers are each fitted with decorative pulls and an escutcheon keyhole at center. The black marble top is original to this piece. This 18th century French commode, with its cute size perfect for an end table or nightstand, has a new custom bleached finish with complimentary dark grey trim, which pairs nicely against the black top.
