A French walnut chest of drawers from the 19th century. This antique chest from France has been designed in clean/straight lines and has a rectangular top over case which houses three dovetailed and graduated drawers. It is presented upon four squared legs that taper gently towards their feet. Each of the recessed panel drawer fronts is fitted with a pair of brass rectangular pulls and shield-shaped escutcheon set within the center. The rich wood has a nicely aged patina and lovely wood grain. This 19th century French commode would make a wonderful decorative storage piece in a bedroom or study.
