An Italian small-sized walnut comodino from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique side chest/table from Italy features decorative inlay banding at topside, with case housing a single drawer at top (adorn in a sweet foliage motif), over a single reeded tambour door, which slides open from right to left, to reveal storage within. The inwardly profiled knees give way to rounded, tapering legs which terminate into toupie style feet. The rich walnut has a wonderful old patina throughout. This late 18th century Italian chest would make a perfect bed-side nightstand, or side table within a seating arrangement; offering a great place to store away books, glasses, and remotes!
