Swedish Gustavian Painted 3-Drawer Chest

A Swedish painted wood chest of three drawers from the 19th century. This antique chest from Sweden has been designed in typical Gustavian style, with a simple/clean design. The top front corners are each canted, with front side posts following suit. The case houses three dovetailed drawers, each fitted with a pair of ring pulls, flanking an oval escutcheon at top center. The chest is raised upon four squared legs that taper to their feet. The custom finish is comprised of beige with a green undertone, and hints of brown (also found along the trim). This 19th century Swedish Gustavian chest would work perfectly in a bedroom, office or living room with your choice of decoration atop.
