A French carved and bleached wood chest of drawers from the 19th century. This antique commode from France has a rectangular-shaped top over a case which houses three full-sized drawers framed within fluted front side-posts, and presented upon petite tapering legs. The drawer fronts are nicely carved in a motif of entwining circles with a pair of raised panels which flank a smaller square shaped panel at center which is trimmed in petite bead trimming about its perimeter. The drawers are fitted with their original hardware; a pair of elegant rococo pulls with an escutcheon at center. The custom bleached finish is complimented with a cream trim. This 19th century French commode will make a wonderful case-piece for a bedroom, living room, or entry hall- perhaps adorn with a few decorative objects and one of our lovely mirrors hanging above.
