An English carved wood chest of five drawers from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique chest from England has a rectangular-shaped top, over a highly-decorated case which houses three drawers, all adorned with a thickly-carved geometrical designed panel design, fitted with hanging pulls and an escutcheon at top/center. Each drawer is divided with large bead trimming set horizontally, and flanked by spool-shaped carvings down each side post. The chest is presented upon a pair of large bun feet at front, and block feet at backside. The bleached wood has a custom silver/gold accent trim. This late 18th century English chest, with its boldly-carved and paneled drawers, will make a beautiful yet functional storage piece that's really quite unique and interesting!
