An Italian Venetian petite side chest, with faux marble top, from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique small-sized commode has an artistically painted faux-marble top with a shapely bowed front, with convex sides that end in squared rear posts, with back-side being spread wider than front, and form continues and carries onto the case below. The case houses a single door at front, which opens to reveal open storage within. Carved garlands decorate the case in vertical fashion, while skirt is adorn with rosettes above the legs and rope trimming defining the edges. The shapely legs terminate into peg feet. The finish is a pale blue with taupe and bronze/red accents. This late 18th century Italian Venetian commode is the perfect case-piece where space may be limited, but style is a must!
