An Italian two-drawer chest with inlay accents from the 19th century. This beautiful antique fruitwood chest from Italy features delicate inlay banding that outlines the perimeter about the top, drawer fronts, and each side. The rectangular-shaped top sits above the case which houses two drawers, each fitted with a pair of decorative ring pulls flanking an escutcheon at their center. The chest is presented upon four spade-carved legs. The drawers are each lined in old damask fabric about their interiors. This piece has recently been refinished. This 19th century Italian raised two-drawer chest, outlined with elegant marquetry inlay banding, is a perfectly versatile piece that could be used in just about any room in your home.
