An Italian Neoclassical chest, with black accents and and unusual feet, from the early 19th century. This antique chest of drawers from Italy features a rectangular-shaped top above a case which houses four drawers flanked within Roman column-style black side posts embellished with female busts at top, a straight skirt, and presented upon four petite sabre style tapered feet (quite unusual!). The four graduated full-sized drawers, are each adorn with ornate escutcheons within their center. The wood is quite beautiful and the black accent color makes the grain pop that much more. This early 19th century Italian Neoclassic chest-of-drawers will make a wonderful statement piece, perfect for your storage and display needs whether it be in a bedroom or perhaps an entry foyer.
