An Italian chest of drawers from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique chest from Italy has been designed in clean/linear lines, and houses three full-sized and graduated drawers, each nicely outlined with a contrast banding inlay and fitted with a pair of Neoclassic brass pulls with urn plaques, flanking the matching brass escutcheon at center (hardware is likely a later addition to the piece). The top and sides are each adorn in the same contrast banding inlay. The chest is raised on four squared legs that tapered towards their feet. The medium tone wood pops with the lighter banding and brass accents. This late 18th century Italian chest, with its clean lines and linear banding, would be a lovely case piece for a bedroom, office or living room.
