18th C. French Buffet à Deux-Corps, 8.5 ft. | Item# 1475

72.5"width 23.75"depth 102"height

A large French carved and painted wood storage cabinet from the 18th century. This antique buffet à deux-corps from France features a thickly molded center top cornice with subtle arch center, atop the upper cabinet which houses a pair of upper decoratively paneled upper cabinet doors with quatrefoil carved centers. The lower cabinet (which is slightly wider and slightly thicker in depth) also houses a pair of beautifully adorn raised paneled doors. The doors each have artfully painted details on the backsides, and open to reveal shelving within. The upper shelving is especially unique with the carved and arched center details! Both cases are flanked within rounded side posts, with semi-circular projections at each far side. Primary color is a pale creamy blue with a robins egg blue color trim. This French buffet à deux-corps cabinet (which literally translates to “buffet with two bodies”) breaks down into two pieces, allowing for easier transport and installation. The upper cabinet measures 67.5"W x 20.75"D x 62.75"H. The lower cabinet measures 72.5"W x 23.75"D x 39.25"H. This true 18th century French cabinet, standing approximately 8.5 feet in height, will make a great statement and storage piece for your home!

Price: $9,800.
