A French Neoclassical style carved wood chest of drawers with marble top from the 19th century. This antique chest from France features a rectangular-shaped white marble top with pronounced and rounded front corners, with rests atop a neoclassical style case with rounded and flute-carved front side posts, flanking three full-sized, graduated drawers. The recessed-panel drawers are each fitted with rectangular brass bail-pull handles with a bow-tied wreath shaped escutcheon at their centers. This commode is presented upon tapering conical legs at front with squared legs at rear. This piece has a bleached finish with a soft/muted green on the drawer fronts and various trim.
